Is your Weapons Licence current?

Queensland Police Service Logo

Police are requesting all Weapons Licence holders to check the expiry date of their licence.

To avoid a new application fee and the associated new application process, as well as the possibility of weapons being seized by police, Weapons Licences must be renewed at least a day before they expire.

To renew your licence, lodge the applicable form at your local police station.

It is up to licence holders to ensure their licence is current. Do NOT rely on a renewal reminder to be sent out before checking.

For further information on weapons licencing visit the QPS website.

Acknowledgement of Country

The QPS acknowledges the First Nations – Aboriginal peoples and Torres Strait Islander peoples, as the Traditional Owners of the lands throughout Australia, and their connection to country and community. We pay our respect to all Traditional Owners, and to their Elders past, present and emerging. We pay our respects to the First Nations’ ancestors of this land and their legacy. The foundations by these ancestors — our First Nations people — gives strength, inspiration and courage to current and future generations, both Indigenous and non-Indigenous.
